Det gör dom för att inte få lägre volym i cylindern.
Men då tycker jag det är smartare att byta cylindern om det är såååå viktigt.

Unless you mean to place it behind piston head and the piston itself ?

However you are moving the piston head forward and will still lose the same volume, your most than likely firing too much air and the loss of volume won't be noticed unless your cylinder is matched a 100% to your barrel length

Also I wouldn't use anything else but Sorbo as the main factor there is that Sorbo has one of the best damping effects when compared to any other material, it absorbs like 94% of shock energy, if your going to take your gearbox apart and dick around then you might as well use the correct materials, mind spose rubber is better than nothing to dampen

Problemet med sorbo som Hammar lyfter i sin guide; är att sorbo visserligen dämpar men eftersom den blir komprimerad när gearboxen är i utgångsläget så hinner den inte återställa sig till full dämpnings förmåga vid nästa skott.
Det är därför Hammar utvecklade Silikon modden.

True individuals have questioned the reset time, but I've never seen any hard data to actually confirm it, mind I fire only ever semi so in my case it'll be negligible

Mind after googlefooing it looks like Sorbo resets after 9ms +/- according to their data sheet, even firing 50 rounds per second you're getting a shot off every 20 milliseconds.

But as said good luck, it's better than nothing
